Cracking night on the Lake of Menteith for the Doo Cup 2020, albeit not a great many fish caught. Very well done to Adam Turner, winner. Nice fishing in tough conditions.
Pat and Archie Ure are among the eldest members of the Caurnie AC. The couple, who are in their 90s, took advantage of decent weather for a rare visit to the loch this morning. Unfortunately although they blanked this time, they informed us they had caught five during their previous visit.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and the instructions by the U.K. Government for everyone to stay at home, the Loch will be closed immediately, and for the duration of the lockdown. I hope members understand why this is the only sensible course of action.
Season 2020 got off to a fine start on Sunday 15th March with rolls and square sausage and bacon courtesy of our resident Michelin-starred chefs.
