End of the 2019 season

The curtain came down on the brown trout season yesterday, Sunday 6th October 2019. Club President Jim Twaddle headed out to the loch for the last cast of the season yesterday and although the weather started off predictably windy and cold, after a few cups of tea the wind relented and he was joined by young Jake Humes in a boat for their last casts of the season. They landed six trout between them in short order before the trout went off again. We will all just have to contend ourselves with bank fishing for rainbows over the winter closedown. The boats will be brought in for over-wintering on the 13th. Many hands make light work, so grateful for the help. Roll on 2020!
